Intercultural e-learning

Intercultural competence is a key skill every sales specialist and manager should possess.

It’s also for individual workers in the current environment of multinational corporations, international production and international composite departments and teams. Unfortunately, organizational burdens, sustainability gaps and cost structures often trigger resistance among executives.

Our solution

Globiana offers the gift of intercultural competence to your staff—inexpensively and efficiently. Our e-learning courses are integrated and can be inserted seamlessly into your existing training philosophy. We offer custom e-learning courses, blended learning training programs and learning packages that are precisely tailored to your needs and wishes.

Linking online platform and e-learning courses allows more effective learning than in a stand-alone use of e-learning courses.

Through access to Globiana the student receives the opportunity to acquire a basic knowledge through country- and topic-specific videos and technical articles, which makes absorption of the contents of the course even more effective and more thorough. Also, you can access additional information during the course.

Many questions arise in practice—but only in retrospect. Through access to Globiana users of our e-learning courses have the option of short and simple bits of learning to update and expand their knowledge as needed. And the Internet Hotline helps in very concrete problems: Within 24 hours, our country experts answer individual questions!

The 24/7 support through our online platform is included in each e-learning license. In plain language this means that every booked course includes access to Globiana’s intercultural experts’ extensive information, advice, complementary expertise and direct support in everyday life.

Just a few samples of the types of learning you can expect:

Intercultural training & team development

Intercultural differences often present major challenges in teamwork.

However, individual perspective and approach can amplify results with solid intercultural teamwork.

Intercultural training

What is it?

In 4 to 6 days, an intercultural team is put together, adopting common rules for cooperation. Communication develops organically, saving time and money. Certain parts of the classroom training can be replaced by e-learning units.

How does it work?

In a bi-national team, it’s best to carry out mono-cultural training first, for a more complete understanding of each other’s national culture. Here stereotypes can be explored to open up discussions. After a reasonable time – usually after 3 to 4 weeks – all team members are gathered together. Now they are not speaking to each other, but with each other. The team reflects on what they have learned and what common rules they have worked out for ideal future cooperation. This approach also works for multi-cultural teams.

If necessary – for example, if travel expenses are an issue – it is possible to replace the mono-cultural training with e-learning units.

Who is this for?

All international teams, wherever they may gather!

Benefit from our combination of cross-cultural training and online offerings in intercultural training (Cross Cultural Training) for more than 140 destination countries!

Globiana offers the full range of cross-cultural presence at events: individual training, group training, mobile training, and moderation – everything is designed and tailored by us for you. We make your issues and country our first priority. We look at what you need in international interaction and create a program. During the training, we adapt flexibly to emerging issues, as needed.

We make sure that you learn what you need and have fun doing it. Our program’s sustainability increases because you can implement the knowledge immediately and make concrete plans for integration into everyday life.

Intercultural mediation

When is mediation necessary?

When a problematic situation with employees of different cultures is clarified, cooperation flourishes.

How?

Through interculturally adapted mediation methods, cooperation becomes again a co-operation. Interests and needs are separated and systems are integrated, with our intercultural mediators help along the way.

Who is it for?

People of different cultures who are blocked by conflicts.
